VICE News App Reviews

Just started using it--Ill update if need be. My phone is still running iOS 9.3, so I havent updated to 9.3.1 or 9.3.2, and I havent wanted to while Im not experiencing any bugs. I saw a couple reviews below me about bugs, one suggesting that 9.3.1 could be the specific problem. Anyone on 9.3.2 should comment if it does/does not work.

This app cant even run its videos correctly. The app keeps on crashing every time I try to watch any video.

When you go to watch a video you get redirected to ads in safari. Screw that. Make your app less about money and more about news. Pathetic. Love vice and the investigative journalism but screw profit.

App closes on its own immediately after opening.

Crashing in ios9

I like the contents: thorough articles about stuff that matters. But the app itself is so buggy. Its very slow to update articles and it freezes during that time. Videos dont work, or take forever to load, or have no sound. Please fix it, this could be my favourite news app if only it was programmed correctly.

This app is one of the best news apps, or even one of the best apps I have. It provides a number of stories that arent being talked about by other news networks, it showcases some of the hidden issues with the world, Vice News is the modern day mud raker that we all need. This app is clean and simple, no ads and no distractions; this is a great app that I would strongly urge everyone to download today. And btw Im a normal person, I wasnt payed to do this or anything, its just a good app.

great news coverage, but needs work. app arbitrarily refreshes, sometimes lists certain articles, sometimes removes them. very frustrating if youre halfway through an article and put your phone down for a minute, only to come back and find said article gone. otherwise, excellent reporting!

I definitely love the sleek and simple design of the app. Makes it a lot easier to navigate the menu options. So far I only have to problems with it: I would love to see the App move over onto tablets than just be used on the iPhone. Second, I would like to be able to have push notifications for certain topics, such as the Ukrainian Conflict, for when the topic has something new posted about it.

I thoroughly enjoy reading VICE articles. I dont thoroughly enjoy when the app crashes, mid-sentence, while reading said articles. Goblins.
